We are an orthodontic practice in Springfield, Virginia, composed of two American Association of Orthodontists certified orthodontists and a support staff of ten. We practice a philosophy of “face-driven treatment planning” which directs us to prescribe the therapy best suited for each individual patient.
By incorporating the Damon System of orthodontic treatment we have brought the newest materials and techniques in orthodontics into our practice. As a result we consistently deliver the outstanding smiles our patients and reputation have come to expect. We practice from a single office location, have an on-site, in-house orthodontic appliance construction laboratory, convenient off street parking, an easily accessible location and have over 150 years of collective orthodontic experience among our staff; qualifications that give our patients a sense of confidence, familiarity and comfort.
We have been recognized, worldwide, as leaders in the delivery of orthodontic care and as a result we are often called upon to deliver seminars and lectures concerning contemporary orthodontics. As a result of our international exposure we are constantly integrating the newest and best products in orthodontics into our practice, as evidenced by individual chair side computers, electronic check-in to minimize wait time for appointments and the latest orthodontic therapeutic techniques.

WE'VE MOVED!!!
After years of planning and months of construction we opened the doors to our new office on August 16. Our new address is 6225 Barndon Avenue, Suite 170, Springfield, VA. For our current patients...we are now directly across the street from our prior office. For our new patients...we are now located in the Springfield Corporate Center on 6225 Brandon Ave.
Our new office is roomier, brighter, has its own private entrance, better parking, and is "state-of-the-art" when it comes to sterilization, digital record keeping and over all patient care. We are proud that we designed an office which is IECC (International Energy Conservation Council) approved and actually have a "green space" directly outside our treatment area.

Technology has taken another big step forward in our practice. Years ago, we modernized our diagnostic area by acquiring digital radiograph machines to minimize patient exposure and maximize diagnostic capabilities. Now we have taken yet another large digital step forward and are offering INSIGNIA braces for our patients. Simply put, INSIGNIA allows us to offer custom made, individual braces for each patient. These braces are computer designed specifically for each individual patient to give the ideal movements and positioning for each tooth. By using these INSIGNIA braces treatment times can be shortened and superb results can be achieved.
How do we use INSIGNIA? First we take a special mold of the mouth and send it to the INSIGNIA laboratory in California. Once in the lab, the mold is converted to a digital model which is sent to us electronically. We take the "virtual model" and literally move the teeth using our computer to where we want the final position of them to be. The computer then constructs individualized braces and wires, for each patient, to give a system which can achieve the final result we prescribe. The braces, and custom formed wires, are sent to us to transfer to the patient's mouth and treatment starts. The patients still need to brush their teeth and wear their elastics, but the INSIGNIA braces do just about everything else!

Damon System
The Damon System is a revolutionary approach to orthodontic treatment due to a unique
orthodontic bracket which is attached to the teeth. Traditional braces used wires
or elastics to hold the wire in the bracket. 
The Damon bracket utilizes a sliding mechanism over the bracket which allows the
wire to be secured to the bracket without the need for ties.
